1. About Sliplit

Sliplit is an AI-powered platform that provides content analysis, typo detection, grammar checking, and proofreading services for various content types including documents, presentations, websites, social media posts, and media assets.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sliplit, you confirm that you:

  • Are at least 18 years old or have parental consent
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
  • Agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Accept our Privacy Policy and Cancellation Policy

3. Account Registration and Security

To use Sliplit, you must create an account by providing accurate information. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Providing accurate and up-to-date account information

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

Plan Types: We offer Free, Pro, and Pro+ subscription plans with different features and usage limits as described on our pricing page.

Billing: Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through our payment processor Paystack. Charges are non-refundable except as outlined in our Cancellation Policy.

Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the next billing cycle.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

  • Upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or hack our platform
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use our service to spam or harass others
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Upload content containing malware or viruses
  • Exceed usage limits or attempt to circumvent restrictions

6. Your Content and Privacy

Content Ownership: You retain all rights to the content you upload to Sliplit. We do not claim ownership of your content.

Processing License: You grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide our analysis services.

Content Security: We use end-to-end encryption and do not permanently store your content beyond what's necessary for your account history.

Content Responsibility: You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and analyze any content you submit.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

Sliplit and its AI technology, algorithms, software, design, and trademarks are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute our software or technology
  • Use our trademarks without permission
  • Create derivative works based on our platform
  • Attempt to extract or replicate our AI models

8. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
  • Perform maintenance that may temporarily affect service
  • Update our AI algorithms to improve accuracy
  • Change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers

9. Limitation of Liability

Sliplit is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for:

  • Errors or inaccuracies in our AI analysis
  • Any damages resulting from use of our service
  • Loss of data or content (though we implement safeguards)
  • Business losses or consequential damages
  • Third-party actions or content

Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for our services in the 12 months preceding any claim.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate these Terms:

  • By You: Cancel your subscription anytime through account settings
  • By Us: For violation of these Terms, with notice when possible
  • Effect: Upon termination, your access ends but data retention follows our Privacy Policy

11. Dispute Resolution

For any disputes:

  • First, contact us at support@sliplit.com to resolve informally
  • If unresolved, disputes will be handled through binding arbitration
  • Class action lawsuits are waived

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify users of material changes via email or platform notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any legal proceedings will be conducted in South African courts, though we prefer to resolve disputes amicably through our support team.
